  • We have always had a wonderful experience with them. Very professional and accommodating! Our two dogs also look great and smell great when we pick them up!

Never EVER have I experienced such an unprofessional and untrained staff member! My friend went away for the weekend and used me an an emergency contact. The dog is 14 and has bad arthritis in her back legs and has "dementia", meaning she is a vocal husky and yells when you pick her up- but only when she has trouble using her back legs. She goes to the vet regularly and is in great heath otherwise. The day she was dropped off, I received a phone call that evening that they want her picked up because "She keeps collapsing on her back legs and I feel bad for her." (verbatim) I had to find someone who would be able to take her at 6pm! They said they "couldn't accommodate her." A friend came with me to pick her up. We were mortified to see she was LAYING in her own cold urine on the floor! Prior to me moving here, I was a veterinary technician for 10 years and did boarding. My boss would have MURDERED me if a client ever came in and witnessed a pet laying in urine all day! I asked her if she had something to clean her up with- the girl looked at me blankly and said "like what?" Perhaps a towel with soap and water!? I said "You let her lay in her own urine all day?!" to which she responded "i tried to move her but she kept collapsing." Side note- the dog was a runt and weighs 37.7lbs according to her most recent vet exam 3 months ago. I told her you were aware she had severe arthritis and therefore she clearly CANT go in the elevated pet beds or walk around in the wooden floors! Common sense would have dictated to 1. keep her in the boarding room closest to the exit (which they did thankfully) 2. put a blanket or comforter on the floor for traction so she WONT keep collapsing 3. Don't give her an elevated pet bed that requires her to climb into! My friend and I were horrified to see such a lack of common sense and to be told "it just breaks my heart to see her collapse" is totally unprofessional... You are in the pet boarding business, which I was in for years and we would NEVER tell a client that. YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONAL! And then she said her health was "rapidly declining" throughout the day (meaning she fell on the pee and couldn't get up and was crying because there was no traction) My vet was wonderful enough to set up a pet bed in the clinic with a blanket on the floor for traction and she has been fine. As a side note when we put food and water down, she ate and drank like there was no tomorrow. I have heard people saying that this place has called them up while they were on vacation and requested them to pick up their dog because the dog was barking too much or some nonsense like that! plenty of people have also said that there pick up times are all over the place because there is a lack of communication between the staff and the clients. My friend confirmed twice that he would be able to pick up memorial day only to get a phone call saying that they would not be there memorial day... I could keep going on about how my friend and I were appalled at how much urine this dog had seeped into her fur and how the room stunk like urine and the hallway of the building...and I could also go on about how the dog walked IN limping and her pet records said she was almost 15 only to have them call myself and my friend and tell them we normally don't accommodate older dogs! I told the girl "who doesn't check the pets appearance upon arrival to determine FIRST if the pet is able to be accommodated!?" her response was "well who boards a 14 year old dog!?" My vet spent over 30 minutes after hours tonight helping me wash all the urine off her belly and legs!
